This talk will explore the fascinating history of the Huguenots – French Protestants who fled religious persecution and found new homes across Europe. You will learn why Erlangen is known as the “Huguenot City,” what these newcomers contributed to its development, and how their legacy can still be seen today. The presentation will also take you on a short journey through other Huguenot towns in Franconia and reveal what makes them special. Finally, we will look at present-day Huguenot associations and societies in Europe that continue to preserve this rich cultural heritage. Esta presentación se trata de un viaje realizado en 2024 y muestra las bellezas de tres islas del centro del archipiélago filipino. Comenzamos con un toque histórico en la ciudad de Cebú, abordando la historia colonial y la influencia del español. La presentación continúa como un relato de viaje: playas de arena blanca y vida submarina en Moalboal, paisajes imponentes en la isla de Bohol y el encuentro con un animalito único.
